New & Improved revolutionary PreVentIt Soffit Vent
Why PreVentIt
Patented design that moves moist bathroom air beyond the gutter line—so it cannot re-enter through the soffit.
Stops exhausted moisture from rising back into porous soffits and attic spaces.
Extended discharge design pushes 95%+ of moist air away from the home.
Fits 4" ductwork for bath fans up to 110 CFM. Includes mounting screws.
Durable weather-resistant resin, proudly manufactured in Lancaster, PA.
Works with your home’s natural intake/exhaust balance while discharging bathroom moisture safely outdoors.
The System
PreVentit Soffit Vent has an adapted termination that, for the first time, gives builders and homeowners the ability to vent a bathroom exhaust fan effectively. It does this by venting the moist air from your bathroom to the soffit and out of your house without risking the air flowing into your attic. By eliminating that risk, it effectively eliminates the formation of black mold and poor indoor air quality from improper venting. Most soffit vents allow the moist air to remain in the soffit and that allows it to move into the attic where it can cause moisture damage as well as create black mold.

PreVentIt Soffit Vent prevents black mold from developing in the attic space, which can occur by improperly venting bath fans to the soffit. By preventing moisture build-up in the attic and potential black mold growth, you reduce health risks for both humans and pets. Health issues associated with exposure to black mold
Protection
Moves moist bathroom exhaust beyond the gutter line instead of under the soffit.
Installs with common tools on standard 4" bathroom fan ductwork.
Durable resin designed for long service life under eaves and overhangs.
Supports exterior exhaust practices required by modern ventilation standards.
Official Position

The cost to repair structural damage from the effects of black mold, including the remediation to contain the damage on the first intervention, is in excess of $73 billion annually.
The yearly health care costs and loss in business productivity due to employee sickness in the United States is half a trillion dollars
The cost associated with improperly vented bathroom exhaust fans is estimated at $9.5 billion annually.

Chapter 15: Exhaust Systems Section M1507
“Mechanical Ventilation – 1507.2 Recirculation of Air:
“Exhaust air from bathrooms and toilet rooms shall not be recirculated within a residence or to another dwelling unit and shall be exhausted directly to the outdoors.”
Technology
Bathroom exhaust enters the vent, accelerates through the discharge path, and exits past the gutter—away from soffit intake zones.

PreVentIt’s extended discharge design addresses the common failure mode of traditional under-soffit vents. For bathroom fan terminations, this approach better protects attic assemblies from reintroduced moisture.
We have installed PreVentIt on dozens of homes. Fit-up is clean on 4" duct, the damper seats reliably, and homeowners appreciate the mold-prevention story backed by real design differences.
